The Japanese cherry blossom, also known as Sakura, is one of Japan’s most beautiful and iconic natural phenomena. Every year, AMADA Allee turns a soft pink when the local cherry trees are in full bloom.
At the beginning of April our 30 Japanese cherry trees unfolded this year and are now showing their full splendor. We captured the days of unfolding in a time-lapse recording.
The Japanese cherry blossom (Sakura) is not only an impressive spectacle, but also an important part of Japanese culture. The sakura’s short flowering period is often taken as a metaphor for life itself – short but beautiful and precious. The Japanese often use the cherry blossom season for traditional festivals and picnics (Hanami) under the blooming trees. The sakura symbolizes the beginning of spring and new life.
