REGIUS Fibre Laser - NEXT LEVEL LASER PROCESSING

The REGIUS fibre laser cutting machine integrates 3-axis linear drive, AMADA’s original Variable Beam Control technology, the new Laser Integration System (LIS) functions and easy operation.

The extremely high speed, precise accuracy of full linear drive technology maximizes machine potential and minimizes downtime. Common processing issues are solved thanks to several autonomous functions such as automatic beam centring and advanced process monitoring, enabling a shift to next level laser processing.

i-NOZZLE CHECKER

The i-Nozzle Checker has 3 automatic functions:

  • Nozzle centering
  • Nozzle condition check
  • Beam condition check

These allow a significant reduction in setup and maintenance times as well as removing subjective decisions by the operator.

3-AXIS LINEAR DRIVE

With a combined X/Y positioning speed of 340m/min and AMADA’s intelligent head control system, the REGIUS drastically reduces non-productive times during processing.

i-OPTICS SENSOR

Automatic checking of the protection glass helps to keep the REGIUS performing at its optimum. 5 different levels of warning inform the operator when dirt or spatter leads to contamination and preventative action is required.

i-PROCESS MONITORING

The new i-Process Monitoring system checks various laser beam parameters when processing the entire range of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium thicknesses. Working in conjunction with the i-Nozzle Checker, action can be taken to rectify issues automatically.

AUTO HEAD COLLISION RECOVERY

When a head collision is detected, the REGIUS immediately stops the cutting head motion and retracts the Z axis. Calibration of the cutting head is then performed, as well as the nozzle being checked and replaced to allow processing to continue at the next step.

ENSIS TECHNOLOGY

ENSIS technology is based on the Variable Beam Control Unit which can fully control and modulate the laser beam. The ENSIS-AJ not only controls the beam diameter and focal point, it changes the beam mode depending on the material and thickness to be processed. Now utilizing 3, 6, 9 and 12kW AMADA fibre laser engines, the correct power requirement can be determined on an individual basis with our customers.

Hotspots

i-CAMERA ASSISTED SYSTEM (i-CAS):

This camera based system allows parts to be manually nested on material remnants placed anywhere on the cutting bed. Rotating, copying and placing are simple and quick to help improve remnant utilization.

V-REMOTE:

The AMNC 3i control screen can be shared on iPads anywhere in the factory, enabling flexible production such as amending schedules and adding urgent jobs.

FRONT AND SIDE ACCESS:

In order to provide a high level of accessibility to the cutting area, the REGIUS is equipped with 3 gull wing side doors and a fully sliding end door as standard.
