The project AUDACE arrives at Linea Blu

Present as scheduled at the events on the ground of Barcolana 52, the guys of the Team Audace of units, sponsored AMADA, were among the protagonists interviewed by Donatella Bianchi, for the Blue Line broadcast on Saturday, October 10 broadcast on RAI 1.

To represent them Marta Montagner and Matteo Vinci.

Naval engineering students design hulls with an eye to the future, through the study of sustainable materials, both under construction and disposal, and prepare to participate in the 1001 Vela Cup university competition, a race that will test all young Italian and foreign talents and their innovative sailing boats.

The two hulls

In Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste, the students put on display and illustrated to the many interested "Dedalo", the first of the two skiff projects, all made of wood and in record time, due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid emergency of these months. Dedalo is a 4.7 meter long hull that aims at maximum speed, it is a boat armed with terraces, with a particular keel design.

The project has been very successful, and has been mentioned in various local newspapers, news and news, but the Team cannot take a break: the group is already working to build the second hull, composite materials, all of natural origin, for a minimal environmental impact and an innovative vision of this sailing sport.

AMADA support
When it comes to technological challenges, AMADA takes the field: the support that the company offers to students for this adventure can be seen from the logo that stands out on Dedalo's sail, another way to feel present alongside the Audace Team and wish the boys may this experience go well!
