The REGIUS-AJe fibre laser cutting machine integrates 3-axis linear drive, AMADA’s original Variable Beam Control technology, the new Laser Integration System (LIS) functions and easy operation.

The extremely high speed, precise accuracy of full linear drive technology maximizes machine potential and minimizes downtime. Common processing issues are solved thanks to several autonomous functions such as automatic beam centring and advanced process monitoring, enabling a shift to next level laser processing.

i-NOZZLE CHECKER

The i-Nozzle Checker has 3 automatic functions:

  • Nozzle centering
  • Nozzle condition check
  • Beam condition check

These allow a significant reduction in setup and maintenance times as well as removing subjective decisions by the operator.

3-AXIS LINEAR DRIVE

With a combined X/Y positioning speed of 340m/min and AMADA’s intelligent head control system, the REGIUS-AJe drastically reduces non-productive times during processing.

i-OPTICS SENSOR

Automatic checking of the protection glass helps to keep the REGIUS-AJe performing at its optimum. 5 different levels of warning inform the operator when dirt or spatter leads to contamination and preventative action is required.

i-PROCESS MONITORING

The new i-Process Monitoring system checks various laser beam parameters when processing the entire range of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium thicknesses. Working in conjunction with the i-Nozzle Checker, action can be taken to rectify issues automatically.

AUTO HEAD COLLISION RECOVERY

When a head collision is detected, the REGIUS-AJe immediately stops the cutting head motion and retracts the Z axis. Calibration of the cutting head is then performed, as well as the nozzle being checked and replaced to allow processing to continue at the next step.

VARIABLE BEAM CONTROL (ENSIS) TECHNOLOGY

Pioneered in 2014 and used exclusively by AMADA, ENSIS beam control technology ensures the best cutting data is used for every material and thickness to be processed. Beam diameter, focal point and laser mode adaption are all carried out automatically by the machine, requiring no operator input. Utilizing AMADA's in-house designed fibre laser engines, along with AMADA's Auto Collimation technology, the REGIUS-AJe series provides the ultimate processing capabilities.

AMNC 4ie

The AMNC 4ie numerical control used on the REGIUS-AJe is a 21.5” HD touch screen system that provides simple, intuitive operation for higher productivity. Facial recognition to set access levels, service tutorial videos and connection to AMADA's IoT service systems helps increase machine uptime.

V-MONITOR

Check the real-time machine status remotely on your smart device. Additionally, whenever an alarm occurs, V-monitor will also record HD video to enable diagnosis of the issue.

COMPRESSED AIR CUTTING

The REGIUS-AJe has the ability to process stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel with compressed air, significantly reducing the cost-per-part versus nitrogen processing, especially as cutting speeds for stainless steel and mild steel are generally the same as nitrogen cutting.
