A grinding system engineered to ensure consistent quality

The SSR-5 is a rotary table grinding machine designed for those who require maximum precision, continuity, and impeccable results over time. Its high-rigidity cast-iron structure and separation of working units ensure excellent stability, even during delicate operations or under heavy load, consistently maintaining top-level accuracy.
The oil-cooled hydrodynamic spindle, hand-scraped guideways, and direct measuring system on the axes provide exceptionally smooth and micrometric control. The integrated electro-permanent rotary table delivers secure clamping and stable rotation, reducing idle time and boosting productivity. Compared to a traditional surface grinder, the SSR-5 can operate up to three times faster thanks to the elimination of non-productive movements.
Programming is straightforward, powered by intuitive macro functions and Fanuc control, allowing users to grind surfaces, tapers, profiles, and paths with ease, even without specialized expertise. A compact, complete, and reliable machine, built for those who want a stable, repeatable, and quality-focused grinding process.

HIGH-PRODUCTIVITY ROTARY TABLE

The rotary table of the AMADA SSR-5 enables productivity levels up to three times higher compared to conventional surface grinding machines.

HIGH-RESOLUTION LINEAR SCALES High-resolution linear scales measure the actual axis position directly, with a resolution of up to 0.1 μm. This ensures outstanding positioning accuracy, high repeatability and consistent grinding quality by automatically compensating for mechanical backlash and thermal variations.
ROTARY ELECTRO-PERMANENT MAGNETIC CHUCK The rotary electro-permanent magnetic chuck provides stable workpiece clamping and continuous machining of circular components. Controlled rotation eliminates unnecessary movements, improving flatness accuracy and surface finish quality.
HAND-SCRAPED HYDRODYNAMIC GUIDEWAYS Hand-scraped hydrodynamic guideways ensure exceptionally smooth and uniform axis movement while providing outstanding vibration damping. To preserve this level of precision over time, the spindle is equipped with an oil cooling circuit that maintains a stable operating temperature, ensuring consistent grinding quality, accuracy and repeatability even in the most demanding applications.
