Service Engineer - Machine Tools

An opportunity to work for the largest Service and Sales support network within the UK Machine Tool Industry.

This is a new, permanent, full time role working within the Service Department.
Flexibility on working hours and travel will be required and a strong understanding of customer service and high standard of values.

 

Areas: 

UK and Ireland – based in the Midlands area (Good connection to major road networks)

JOB PURPOSE:

Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns

Training customer in operation, maintenance, and safety aspects

Regular routine service of machines and associated equipment

Promote consumable sales and sales of maintenance contracts

Promote sales of machine tools and associated Amada equipment

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

A suitable engineering qualification- HNC/ Degree

Previous field experience in machine tools would be an advantage or an apprentice trained engineer.

Understanding of electrical/electronic/hydraulic and mechanical drawings and systems

Good electrical experience including fault finding skills, schematic understanding.

PLC and mechanical experience

Enthusiastic and self motivated

Smart and professional presentation

Ability to work alone and under pressure

Flexible approach to working hours and travel

Ability to communicate in all situations at all levels of an organisation
