Configurable and modular solution for automated bending processes

The ABS-R is a flexible, modular solution for reliable and easy-to-use automation. The automated bending cell combines the press brake, robot, operating software, tools and customised grippers. Designed based on the production cycle, the ABS-R has a tailor-made configuration, to adapt to your needs. Fully compatible with the HFE-M2 and HFE3i range of bending machines, the solution has been designed for superior flexibility and to optimise cycle times, resulting in outstanding performance.

A FLEXIBLE, CUSTOM DESIGNED SYSTEM

The system is highly flexible and tailor-made to fit customers' requirements. The layout has been configured to meet production needs, selecting the model and size of bending machine, the robot payload, length of the traverse axis, plus special devices or cycles. Retrofit installation is also possible.

THICKNESS DETECTOR

The thickness detector guarantees the picking of each flat piece, detecting the actual thickness. In the case of dual sheet picking, the system can release the parts in the dedicated area and continue the automatic cycle for continuous production.

CUSTOM UNLOADING

The unloading area can be configured to meet the customer's requirements in terms of volume and stability. Plus, unloading devices can be defined based on production demands and the need to interface with other machines.

AUTOMATIC/MANUAL OPERATION

In case of limited sampling or small batches, the ABS-R enables the bending machine to be used in stand-alone mode, ensuring good performance and safety. The transition from automatic (robot) to manual (operator) bending mode is simple and quick.

CUSTOM GRIPPERS DESIGN

The robot grippers have been designed and developed based on the analysis of customer requirements for part handling maximum performance.

DEDICATED SOFTWARE

Dedicated CAM software can be used for offline programming, creating programs for the bending machine and robot and fully simulating ABS-R process. This makes it possible to considerably reduce programming times and manual activities, also decreasing set-up times and maximising productivity.

OFFLINE PROGRAMMING:

Dedicated offline programming software makes it possible to fully manage and visualise the bending cycle, increasing productivity and cell efficiency.

CUSTOM ROBOT:

Various types of robot with different payloads are available, with the possibility to have an automatic gripper changer and special grippers. The robots have all been designed and built on a custom basis, to maximise process performance.

FLEXIBLE LOADING AND UNLOADING AREA:

Based on the customer's production requirements, a number of loading and unloading solutions can be adopted. In fact, automatic devices are available for picking flat sheet metal, as well as conveyors and pallet changers for the unloading of bent parts.
